It is pretty clear that one of the defendants strategies is going to be to take Mowrey off the playing field as soon as possible. When your opposition has ONE expert witness to provide the court with the forensic reconstruction of what happened to the money, that is a huge single point of failure for the plaintiff's case if the defendant can exclude him, remove him, or discredit him. I am sure that Mowrey knows this, and that is why he is paid as heavily as he was to examine everything.
