You seem to have assumed an underground “lake” of oil. Your calculations should take into account the rock and sand too. The structure is somewhat sponge-like, with oil in the little compressed holes.

Still, over 6 thousand Billion barrels was nice to read.

brez, if OBO-1 hit a field with over a trillion barrels of oil, I think GWB would be invading Nigeria or STP shortly, LOL. Nice math though and fun to think about.
