That would make sense. Since Woodman kept preaching "media company," I could see any of the following scenarios occurring, since they will then become a direct threat for Google YouTube video monetization model:
1. Google buys GoPro so that they don't have to compete 2. Apple buys GoPro. Apple is a true hardware company and could not only improve the design of the GoPro (even though it's already great) but they could also benefit from having a YouTube-like monetized video service. 3. Facebook buys GoPro. Facebook already has the large social footprint and mixing in monetized video and hardware would definitely pose serious competition for YouTube.
