it's not just a domain issue. These guys have hijacked Medient Inc.'s brand identity and claim ownership of film assets previously associated with Medient Inc.

A new domain is the last thing management should care about right now. What Medient needs to focus on is an immediate cease and desist order. Get the site down, then file a legal suit.
