The definition of 3rd party is pretty simple. It amounts to who you are going to fire if the product doesn't work. In horizons case they can't fire *any* of the 30 vendors they cobbled up to make the box. In Virgins case they can fire tivo if it doesn't work. Fact is tivo is banging it out in 3 countries while horizon is dead in the water in 5 countries. Just look at the reports.
