Unfortunately, per FINRA Rule 4560, as of 30-May-2014 there were 0 shares of "Short interest" reported for KMAG.
There were no 300M Short shares the session before the suspension. There were no 300M Short shares the first session after the suspension. And there certainly hasn't been 300M Short shares accumulating in the 20 months since. In fact there have been 0 illegal Short shares traded in the past 20 months. The system works.
The SEC has nothing to suck up. FINRA has nothing to suck up. The clearing house, and DTCC have nothing to suck up. However, shareholders dreaming of a Short conspiracy being discovered, with the PPS subsequently soaring, will have to suck it up, and just get over it.
If the PPS for KMAG goes up or down, before or after a Form 10, it will be due to one Long selling, and another Long buying. No conspiracies involved.
