I just saw your post on the Q & A board and it brought me over here.
Apparently there were a few "free" boards that were bumped up to Premium boards under the veil of darkness!
More interesting than that is that it was done soon after the lifetime membership window of opportunity ended.
What has happened is that many of the stock boards have many more OT posts than they did before.

Really Memes, the very audacity of even suggesting such a thing! I can't speak for all of the posters on the ELON board, but I think it's a terrible idea. With all of the postings over there, it's hard enough keeping the board read without the infusion of the silly dribble from this board. You might consider taking the discussion to the Beer board, perhaps a more appropriate place for it anyway. Remember, though, that all postings must be somehow related to the subject of beer. :-))
