The problem with Android tablets is that Android is trailing iOS widely in tablet apps. There are lots of scaled-up phone apps on Android though. If you want tablet apps, then iOS is the way to go. If you want freedom and flexibility and price matters and you aren't tied to tablet apps, then Android may be the way to go.
Of course do you call Windows 8 Tablets, tablets or PCs? I'm somewhat inclined to call them PCs. Netbooks were PCs, right?
