That is because their trader is trying to make a profit off of you if he can so he tells the broker what to quote. Grey stocks have no Bid or Ask however, a trader a a firm can try to get as =much as he can for what he has available to sell....that is his job trading stocks for a profit. Does not change the fact that KMAG is a POS Grey stock, and hard to trade.
Well technically it is a "bid" and "ask" using a general definition and that results in the "how many angels on the head of a pin" type discussions.
In a sense both are right. There is no published bid/ask that represents a MM quotation. But there is a customer bid/ask you can get from your broker by calling them.
