I agree with most of that. But no matter where I go, these drinks aren't selling in mass. Red Bull does seem to sell a lot though, but seems like most places don't shelve that in the specialty drink area. Seems someone is always buying that. Maybe it is kept with the soda because it sells well.
About your friend. Sure his shelves are covered with energy drinks. But how long do they sit there. Every time I look at energy drink sections they always look like they were just stocked 5 minutes ago.
Yeah, as you said, "And when the cool person has it in their hand. The others will follow." When I walk past those specialty drinks, It seems I'm walking past a huge display of hippy art all over the place. I think some people just buy it to make a vase out of the can and put a candle in it. lol lol lol
