#9039 RE: whackywinston #9038

Fair enough

We are making suppositions either way, but we can mostly eliminate or discount certain possibilities just by thinking things through.

On whether others would move ahead before TC has made a decision: I seriously doubt it. What benefit would there be in either a) running your own pilot, or b) putting in an order for an unproven commercial technology that someone else is already paying a lot of money to test, and the outcome of which will be known about in a few months? Neither option makes sense. It seems reasonable to think that this is being closely watched by industry, and once TC puts in a significant order it will be official confirmation that this thing is good to go. No violation of the NDA: when TC puts in an order it's a material event and will generate an 8K. etc. (right??)

Do we know one way or the other whether STWA and TC signed an exclusivity contract for a certain period? Certain parts of their relationship are under non-disclosure rules. If TC made that a condition of the pilot (it would be in their interest to do so) it would not have been in STWA's interest to turn them down. But as far as I'm aware, we don't know either way.

There have been some users who appear to actually know these details or are close enough to people who do, and they wrote some cryptic posts with hints to some of the details. I wish I had saved them.
