Depends how you define 3rd party. TiVo has third parties as well.

It's really an issue about control and TiVo offers less control. Also, the facts are that they are offering Horizon in more countries and didn't halt that progress once Virgin was acquired.

I don't see that can be viewed as positive for TiVo.
