Agreed on why they ignored his request. What I don't get is why that is bad - I guess he can go to the court but how can the court do the Parliaments job? It seems to me they cannot and the most they could do/say is you got to work this out with Parliament.

Kubisiak5,correction on one thing. Maliki was never a Bush implant. Bush's guy from day one was Iyad Allawi. Bush was banking on Allawi winning and underestimated Tehran's influence in the election and their backing of Maliki. Yes the US was then forced to play ball with and show support for Maliki but make no mistake, Maliki was never their "guy".
