#6752 RE: Orion Nebula #6751

Orion...you hit the nail on the head with:

"Seems the two companies went in different directions. It is the vision thing and our guys have that down pat.

I do wish I had more info on their IP versus Sphere, meaning patents versus the "secret sauce" that is actually up for grabs for anyone who can figure it out. I am hopeful that the security approach is so different from all that Sphere does that we are light years ahead of them."

Large cap tech can "hire" the brightest programmers...but often have to "buy the product" of the visionaries and creative ... there is a difference.

I had a conversation with a principal of a small tech company (5 guys) that had a visit from Microsoft (7 techies) on Tuesday... MSFT guys said they have tried for 3 years and put a lot of "resources" into finding the solution which Small Tech guys displayed... response by MSFT .. "where did you guys come from?" ..."we are in f'n awe"...

bottom line: Don't expect Mega Cap Tech to "discover" what our visionaries have created... Visionaries are free spirits who work alone or with other like kind and "sore like eagles"...they run with creative concepts...most hired guns are not visionaries...

Visionaries, with their concepts, unique approaches, and disruptive products, work and create in a free spirit setting...not within the constraints of a rigid workplace... that's why so much disruptive technology has come out of "garages"...

When the MegaCap Techs finally "get it" with SPIHF solution, approach and "secret sauce"...they will be "in f'n awe"...

nice post orion, bromium reference got me curious as well. PB also mentioned the applications are containerized suggesting applications are run in isolated user space.. of course there are many parts to the Glassware puzzle :)
