Sigma Labs, Inc. Has Engaged Oracle(R) Partner Adurant Technologies, LLC to Address Big Data Challenges in Additive Manufacturing of Metal Parts
10:00a ET June 12, 2014 (PR NewsWire) Print
Sigma Labs, Inc. (OTCBB: SGLB), today announced that it has entered into a contract with Adurant Technologies, LLC, a Cloudera(R) and Oracle(R) Gold Partner, to assist Sigma Labs in formulating, designing and deploying a unified 'Big Data' methodology to support the integration of Sigma Labs' PrintRite3D(R) systems with both existing and legacy manufacturing and production infrastructure systems.

Mark Cola, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sigma Labs, stated that, "Many of our customers are using existing manufacturing systems which will need to be integrated with the increasingly large quantities of new data generated by our PrintRite3D(R) systems in application of advanced manufacturing technologies. Therefore, to ensure the successful implementation of these advanced manufacturing technologies, we must provide our customers with the tools and methods they will need to manage the terabytes of data per part that will be generated as a result of using PrintRite3D(R) systems as integrated functions within their overall advanced manufacturing enterprise. We have tasked Adurant Technologies to help us develop the architecture, data integration and reporting requirements that will meet these needs and interface seamlessly with enterprise systems from ORACLE Corporation(R) and SAP AG(R). This is an emerging problem for all of additive manufacturing, and we intend to be a leader in offering this critical data management tool."

Brett Weninger, Managing Director of Adurant Technologies, adds, "We expect that the integration of Big Data processing into Sigma Labs' already successful PrintRite3D(R) Services will lead to market leadership by Sigma Labs in an area demanding actionable information."

As to how this new effort relates to and provides support for Sigma Labs' existing commercialization efforts, Mark Cola further stated that, "This enhances what we are doing with our other commercialization partners, namely Materialise NV and Metronic Systems, LLC. Those efforts are focused on commercialization of our PrintRite3D(R) INSPECT(TM) and DEFORM(TM) modules, respectively.METRONIC partners with BOEING - now we have Honeywell - GE and BOEING---YESSS/b]
