You might be slightly correct in that assumption. However imagine the penalties that can be imposed outside of 'the machine'

If only medical then your hit with a law already in place that feeds the prison system. If only available legally, even recreational , you could be hit with the same thing only tied into bootlegging laws, who knows how this will unfold, as the yups and hopes get their name on legislation.

You obviously missed the Colorado MJ revenue reports over the last 6 months. Plenty of business not going to the "buddy down the street"...who could rob you.

People also need to know what they are smoking and that it has no mold or bs in it. The whole point of further regulating mj is to start understanding how different cannabinoids should be given to different people in different concentrations for different ailments. You're buddy down the street gonna do all that for you? Go read about weed before you invest in the sector.
