#31152 RE: Pasta #31146

Yeah Pasta, thanks for looking these guys up. As far as I can tell, they're not members of the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) who've kissed every public service representative all over while getting them to screw us up/down & backwards w/o a handshake even.

WTF?? Then we get this from NexGen:

Trained NexGen Digital technicians use the Tektronix Curve Tracer to authenticate a device. By applying an automatically varying voltage to its main terminals, the Tektronix Curve Tracer measures the amount of current that the device permits to flow. The voltage then is displayed as a graph on the oscilloscope screen to be analyzed and verified.

The SIA is howling like stood up prom queens about us voiding any warranty by putting our DNA in their stamped on parts label. WTF WTF.

We used to have a lotta problems with Electro Static Discharge (ESD) events screwing the shit out of an Integrated Circuit (like the time a female was finally given a prominent roll, then rubbing her head with all the balloons she got at her birthday luncheon, then discharging all over the morning's product line).

Just a legend. Not really sure that actually happened. But I got it from the source. Just can't tell you where the source was:).

BUT. HTF (as in How) is the SIA gonna handle EMF (Electro Magnetic Force) to their high power semiconductors (FSC 5961 actually, use them all over the ____ place).

The technology you quoted is being included in the SAE's standard. Where's ours?

Not asking you to answer that. That test you described works well but there's no provenance mark left. Unless they include our Kickapoo joy juice.
