Brian is the top independent man in the virtualization field.

I was in touch with him during Briforum 2014 in London to get his independent assessment of the Glassware 2.0. He was unable to get a hands-on demo of the G 2.0, so this podcast is the next best thing until Briforum 2014 in Boston.

To me his assessment would be critical, as so far there are no independent reviews of the G 2.0. I really hoped that he would test it during London's forum for me, but it was not to be.

Here is what he wrote to me regarding the G 2.0 based on his conversations with Sphere 3D's team:

From talking to them here at BriForum they seem to be something like Parallels Containers on the back end, and then they have their own protocol to deliver the containerized app to any device. So based on that it's not too far-fetched that this thing exists (since it's a collection of proven technologies), but I also wonder how revolutionary it is then? (Like why not just use XenApp with FSLogix at that point?) Also they mentioned several times that they have "10 man years" of investment in the product, but to me that's not too impressive. So what's that, 5 guys for 2 years? So what? Citrix had more than that on their Synergy keynote
