E-trade and Questrade are good, usually between 5 and 10$ commissions. Stay patient with your investment and don't look at them every day if you are really planning to be long ;)

Ameritrade is real good, name change already happened on my account.

Scottrade has small trade fees, so if you are starting small that is the best choice.

Dude. I recommend a broker with lower fees. Then get the thoughts of going long on your penny/pinky stocks completely out of your head unless there are actual real verifiable fundamentals. That is very very very very very rare in this market. The longer you hold these stocks the heavier your bag will get as you seem to be figuring out already. Others will tell you the complete opposite but normally those are the ones who, prey on newbs such as yourself.

Good luck young fellow. Take profits if and when you can and ride freebies if you want to play longer. You never lose by taking profits. Other than that you will get a feel for it after some time. Hopefully you do not lose as much as I did in the beginning. Most of my losses added up over time by going long on hope and misinformation.

Longs become BAGHOLDERS in this market 99.99999999999999% of the time.

Have you had any RS yet?
