This all has yet to be proven IMO. I keep seeing "3x the power".
A 1 liter sport bike of current generation is already generating 170-200hp. This is achieved via 4 stroke, high compression, advanced fuel injection and ignition, dual cams and multiple valves per cylinder.
I recall a figure I read that was provided here stating around 220hp per liter out of the sonic flow engine. If current gen 1 liter 4 strokes are already making 175 hp out of 99x cc engines, how is this 3x the power?
I'm also seriously doubtful by a very long margin that it gets better emissions.
I'd like to be clear that I am not bashing this design. I just see the facts given as misleading compared to what's already available. I also fail to understand how a high rpm 2 stroke engine geared towards racing is ideal for generating power in space.
APT is doing some really neat stuff, but IMO it's the smart carb that will give us our revenues here best I can tell.
