Well, prepare to be surprised. That device actually uses Atom Z3735E, not Atom Z3735G.

The G version coming is even cheaper. The planned price is $60-70.

Who will be making money on this puppy? Not Intel or Microsoft.
DRAM manufacturer or Display producer only I guess.

If the objective is MSS and revenue before margin dollars, then this seems like the right move. Replace this with a Rockchip Sofia part next year, and the margins on a few dozen million units (this model, plus 100 others just like it...) won't be half bad.
