They want their hands held during the process and for the company to tell them every step exactly how far they have gone, the time expended for each step, a complete analysis for comparisons of their last step with all other steps and full coordinates of where the next step will place them....and they want it yesterday. Yes, it would be nice to know in advance what will happen and with whom, but the pharm business isn't like most businesses, you have to keep your mouth shut sometimes to negotiate deals as a slip up could derail a deal faster than one could blink. Plus companies making deals with you want some assurance of what they are getting is viable. Lots of checks and counter checks and that takes time. And, the company can provide an estimate, but with deals like these there are more often or not delays....long delays as new drugs are introduced and as the sector changes.
