What is the alternative for them?

Are they going to suddenly replicate the multiple trillion dollars in value that these companies provide?

They're communists I suppose. Basic concepts such as trade and comparative advantage must be difficult to grasp.

Comments from anybody re China’s backlash against Big Tech?

Sounds more like a backlash against spying to me. Considering how much they do themselves and considering the amount I know even not being involved I suppose their fears are quite justifiable. The real question here is how can Intel show in a verifiable way that their chips don't have backdoors that can be exploited by American intelligence, or at least if they do then they can be secured against them. I think there are ways around the problem but unfortunately in this area sense goes out the window and it is all quite difficult.

OT Dew,

Comments from anybody re China’s backlash against Big Tech?

Any wonder why Chinese money is starting to make its way out of mainland China and into foreign investments?

The Chinese government will learn what many 1st world governments have already figured out. The more they meddle, the more they bite the hand that feeds it, the more they risk bursting their own bubble.
