At the current pps, you appeal to a certain type of investor. If you get the word out there, as the BOD has a responsibility to do so, you gain a different kind of investor. You get those types of investors who see a value proposition that is not just a penny ploy. The 'small minded' investors leave at the 30 cents or so and are replaced by the larger higher quality investors.
Also, a rising pps is an indicator of health that aids to get the story out there. If what you say is true, why invest in growth companies at all? No, pps matters my friend. It is delusional to think otherwise.
