There's two new materials I look forward to seeing, one is glass, since glass parts break so easily and often, and graphene, the new miracle material that Samsung (I think) is working on.
Glass today has a wide variety of uses and formulations from oven ready to safety glass and for all manner of applications from microscopes to eye wear to what have you.
