My take from what they wrote is that they stopped because it costs money to continue mining. If they aren't able to sell or mill the ore right away then that could cause problems. It's like buying too much inventory and having all your money tied up there.
According to the PR, the mining itself was going very smoothly so they should be able to pick up where they left off once the mill is complete.
