Be merciful with a company that lies, cheats and defrauds shareholders? Treaty had better hope the regulators will be merciful with them, imo.

The contract Treaty Energy had with Princess Petroleum required Treaty to pay ALL exploration and operational expenses. The money Princess is out is for loans to Treaty and for plugging the wells that Treaty was responsible for. There are also 2 failed deals with two other investors concerning the Princess and the Paradise concessions where Treaty took the money from the investors. With the Princess concession the investor was to get the money returned if there was no oil. There was no oil and he never got his money back. With the Paradise concession the money was diverted and the deal fell through. Treaty stole his money.
