I'm not being a jerk, but I have many friends that served in the military. They always point out that Veterans Day is the day to thank those that served in the military. Memorial Day is the day to give memoriam to those that died in military service to our country.

I think that it is great, zstrata, that you recognized today and posted an honor to our military.

But, I am just mentioning it... just like when referring to a firearm and I say "ammunition clip." My military friends reply with hostility, "what do you have, a M1 Garand? Modern firearms use ammunition magazines! It's a magazine, stupid, not a clip!"

Anyway, thanks zstrata for mentioning the importance of today. My father survived 35 missions over Japan as a B-29 pilot during WWII, but many years later he could not cope with life, and ended his.

Oh, I guess to be a legitimate post, I have to mention EXBX. Let's hope this is Veterans Day for EXBX, and not Memorial Day.
