I wouldn't say that Pasta. Preference has always "mandated" OCM/AD suppliers "when possible". Until the DCMA adds some clarity, specifically how to satisfy the 12 conditions cited in the rule, it's only a guess. I suspect OCMs and their Authorized channels may not be held to the same "standard" as Indies, they are after all a higher risk, but having a common discriminator a la DNA among all classes make much more sense to me, particularly given the extended life span of DoD systems in general.
