recently there has been a lot of controversy surrounding the amount of water swet uses and how it would use so much it would nearly deplete the cities water. I called the company and listened to the conference call again ..
if you recall swet intends use 8 acres of water... 8 acres water x 325k roughly= around 2.6 billion gallons of water that is the TRUTH. However
Fact: city San Luis has many thousand mile acre farming areas include nation leader in lettuce production.
Fact: the city's net water is around 106 acres of water 8 of 126 is around what 13%. True a lot but a far cry from close to a hundred!
Fact: most of the water injected will be recollected and recycled for use in a storage basin somewhere near top of the structure.
Fact: City San Luis agreed sell water for at least 20 years. (50 or 20)
