With the rise of fuel cells, battery powered cars (and charging stations) will wither away.



Except it is likely that at least ins some implementations fuel cells will be used alongside batteries to provide continuous charging (unless fuel cell technology changes dramatically) as the battery can drive more power than a fuel cell by itself.

The charging infrastructure will just migrate to hydrogen stations not electric 2 hour minimum parking spots.

It will not be a one or other world, so long as we reduce gas consumption... I guess they will at least find it easier to tax hydrogen than electricity.
