mrgreenjeans: Like you, I have no first hand experiencing observing any Naked Shorting but I've heard and read a lot about it and while watching what I consider unusual activity in a stock plus what I've heard from licensed brokers with Tier 1 firms about some non-Tier 1 firms do in fact naked short stocks ( I'm reluctant to name the firm(s) that I was told were naked shorting, that I suspect of naked shorting, because I have no first hand observation experience seeing this and only know what the broker told me.) One thing that I do know for sure is that the SEC really did a bang up job with the Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC! And it comes out that the SEC was warned about Madoff several times and for whatever reason did not stop the illegal activity for a long long time!
