If you need to roll your portfolio over in hopes of making big gains then miners are not the way to go, however if you want to be a value investor and ride some stocks for one to two years without much downside then grass roots mineral plays with good drill results will give you multi-baggers year after year.
Yea they are boring, but the intrinsic value is there and you can go away for a month and not look at it every day,,,
