Long is only crazy if you're going to watch it all day every day.
Management and vendors and lenders are long in penny stocks all the time. They stay sane by not watching every trade.
But if someone is going to buy a penny stock, watch it all day every day and never trade... I'll agree that is strange behavior.
Here's a tip to anyone who needs it:
A stock going down after you sell it feels just as good as one going up after you bought it.
Buy all your shares back lower and your account looks exactly the same as it would if you transferred more cash into it, instead.
You can use that extra cash to provide bid support on the move up from the new bottom, if you are truly long.
