When it's organic growth, use exclamation points. When it's purchased revenue, keep it in perspective. And when one compares a quarter pre-acquisition to a quarter post-acquisition, many, many asterisks are necessary.
The best news that wasn't mentioned (at least explicitly) was that the BTH deal never happened. A little loss on investment income is a better outcome, IMO.
