well you know, he said less than 1% which still doesnt sound all that cheap... im not sure why everyone still insists its going to cost around the same as regular silk... it seems like it should but then when you read what kim said, it doesnt sound all that cheap...

perhaps he whispered something different to one of his favored people...who knows...

maybe one day he will slip up and say something honest and truthful publicly...

The present price of Chinese silk is around US $ 54 to 55 per kilo



and that is their out of the door price profit included
I think Kim will sell the silk for 10 - 20 times that (540-1100/kg)
but his cost will be no more than a regular silkworm farm

How many spiders does it take to make a metric ton of material? Serious question, is the material actually formulated according to spider specifications at a lab?
