#8285 RE: Market_Fest4 #8284

MF4: Our corrupt government was behind the 'insurrection' against the former Ukrainian leader because he was drifting toward Moscow. That was not well thought out and our military is stretched, and we have an amatuer in the White House, so the whole scheme has backfired. The pro-western Ukrainians will be left to pay the price in blood or treasure, or both. We tried to orchestrate an overthrow of Assad in Syria. Saudi Arabia tried mightly to create a situation where our corrupt oligarchy could ramp up public opinion and get us to intervene in Syria. That failed. And the Saudi's are still pissed at us. We were behind the overthrow of Ghaddafi in Libya. That eventually led to the fiasco in Benghazi as we allowed 4 Americans to die after holding off hundreds of terrorists for over 12 hours. Obama was nowhere to be found while this was happening. Not important enough for him I guess. Probably exhausted from another round of golf or a couple more fundraisers.
Meanwhile, while Bernancke and now Yellen continue to debase our Dollar it is leading to China and Russia moving outside the orbit of the Dollar as the World's Reserve Currency. Both countries are doing direct trade with many other countries. In due time we won't be able to stuff ever more worthless Dollars down the throats of the rest of the World. When that happens look out below. Our standard of living will be cut in half and the Free Shit Army will be in open revolt as their Federal tit dries up.
I suppose one could look back on ancient Rome and see how an empire with every advantage could piss it all away in a few centuries. Washington DC has managed to piss our legacy away in a little over 50 years. It's sad to see what has become of this country. Whether it's Detroit looking worse than a third world shit hole or Chicago upholding its reputation as Murderville USA we are descending rapidly. And we are to blame because we elected all the assholes that destroyed this country, and we continued to reelect them and reelect them. But the average American has become too distracted and too stupid to realize. Cheap beer, sports on TV and relaity shows keep them entertained. Junk food keeps them fat and dull. The media keeps them manipulated. The oligarchy continues on. Any bets on when Chelsea Clinton runs for the Senate in New York? Can we really look forward to a Jeb Bush vs Hillary election in 2016? If the Kennedy kid hadn't crashed his plane in Naragansset Bay he'd probably be President today. His sister wanted the Senate seat in New York but could not answer the question of where her local polling place was located.
The reality of it all is that we are fast becoming a third world fascist oligarchy where the crony capitalists get rich and the politicians get rich and their families get rich and the public employee retirees get their fat pensions and we get stuck with the bill. We desperately need a Second American Revolution.

MF4: Why on earth is the US Government turning the Department of Agriculture into another branch of the military? :

USDA to Purchase Submachine Guns

Some question where semi-automatic weapons will be heading
Paul Joseph Watson

May 15, 2014

The United States Department of Agriculture is set to purchase an unknown quantity of submachine guns, leading to questions about where the weapons will be heading and for what purpose they will be used.

A solicitation (replete with spelling errors) posted on the Fed Biz Opps website states;

“The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of Inspector General, located in Washington, DC, pursuant to the authority of FAR Part 13, has a requirement for the commerical (sic) acquisition of submachine guns, .40 Cal. S&W, ambidextrous safety, semi-automatic or 2 shot burts (sic) trigger group, Tritium night sights for front and rear, rails for attachment of flashlight (front under fore grip) and scope (top rear), stock-collapsilbe (sic) or folding, magazine – 30 rd. capacity, sling, light weight, and oversized trigger guard for gloved operation.”
Hopefully, those operating the semi-automatic weapons will be better skilled than whoever is writing solicitations on behalf of the USDA, but the fact that the law enforcement division of the United States Forest Service, which operates under the USDA, is not mentioned in the request has prompted some to question where the guns will be going.
“They will no doubt attempt to justify their purchase of military hardware by explaining that they conduct criminal investigations and may need to do armed raids,” writes Bob Owens, adding, “This is part of a trend to arm every branch of federal government, whether the individual agency has a legitimate need for a paramilitary force or not.”

Concerns over large ammunition purchases by the Department of Homeland Security have raged over the past two years, although a recent Government Accountability Office investigation downplayed the issue as nothing out of the ordinary.

More pertinent than the amount of bullets purchased has been the type of ammunition and the DHS’ insistence that companies be able to supply them quickly if needed, which some have linked to the federal agency’s preparations for domestic unrest in the United States.
In May last year, the DHS sent out a request for information asking companies if they could provide 2 million bullets within a 30-60 day turnaround period.

In October 2013, the DHS acknowledged it was hiring armed guards to secure government buildings in the event of “public demonstration(s)” and “civil disturbances,” while also spending half a million dollars on fully automatic pepper spray launchers and projectiles that are designed to be used during riot control situations.

In February last year, Law Enforcement Targets Inc., a contractor that had previously done $2 million dollars worth of business with the DHS, was forced to apologize after producing “no more hesitation” shooting targets which depicted pregnant women, children, and elderly gun owners in residential settings as “non-traditional threats.”

More recently the DHS issued a solicitation for over 141,00 rounds of sniper ammunition, bullets known commercially as “Zombie Max,” a reference to their high power.

MF4: Now the 5th Branch of the American Military, the Department of Agriculture, wants body armor in addition to the machine guns they requested before. Maybe they're planning an all out assault on raw milk producers in Amish country or maybe they'll go after the Rancher in Nevada who dared to defy Harry Reid and his plans for Chinese solar farms that enrich his corrupt family. Whatever their plans it seems tyrannical that our government needs to be turning civilian bureaucrats into armed fascist thugs. What are they preparing for...war against their own citizens?

DEPT. OF AGRICULTURE ORDERS BALLISTIC BODY ARMOR

by AWR HAWKINS 15 May 2014 972 POST A COMMENT

A May 7th solicitation by the U.S. Department of Agriculture seeks "the commercial acquisition of ballistic vests, compliant with NIJ 0101.06 for Level IIIA Ballistic Resistance of body armor."
According to the solicitation, "The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of Inspector General," seeks "Body Armor [that] is gender specific, lightweight, [having] trauma plate/pad (hard or soft), [and] concealable carrier." The order includes "tactical vest, undergarment (white), identification patches, accessories (6 pouches), body armor carry bag, and professional measurements."
"All responsible and/or interested sources may submit their company name, point of contact, and telephone number." The solicitation says those sources received in a "timely" manner "shall be considered by the agency for contact."

On May 15th Breitbart News reported on a Dept. of Agriculture solicitation for "the commercial acquisition of submachine guns" with 30-round magazines.
