I'm starting to imagine the entire ocean marked off with survey markers. Perhaps cities and neighborhoods as we seek to explore the last of the surface of the earth on our never-ending hunt for energy sources. I agree that it appears to be a lot safer from terrorism, and my understanding is that this area is storm-free. But, nature seems to be capable of much more damage than terrorists and potential storms must be taken into account when considering possible consequences of any particular area. I understand that the gulf area is still undergoing recuperation. And we all have seen pictures of New Orleans. In damage comparison 9-11 is rather small, but, of course much worse in that it was caused by hate.

Onshore investment would be a bad idea.

While the amount we are receiving seems like a lot of money, it just won't take you very far in the oil patch. We need our current blocks to start producing revenue before we jump into any new ventures. It never hurts to have some money in the bank for a rainy day.
