I am as positive as can be that ERHC will be investing in and producing oil and revenue possibly as soon as this year from onshore wells. Its a no brainer, erhc has money, offor has the political connections to get the land leases, and there are lots of companies besides the super majors like Addax, Afren, Centurion etc..that are extremely successful at it.

"Look for an exceptional prospect where we can actually hire a good onsite oil guy to run it and actually get our feet wet."

Does the Ihub have a means to recommend posts? Because, buddy? I would recommend your post.

This company must develop beyond paper and promises, and I agree, we should run a few wells. Let's spend some money and take a few over, to start with. With working wells and staff on hand the company could then start doing some drilling where there is a good chance of producing oil at a low cost.

Deep water drilling is way beyond what this company can do now. Ten years from now we could be in a very different situation.

On the shareholder side of things it would be nice to attract a set of shareholders who can do basic math, who don't need a daily hand-holding session. I would welcome a deep-pockets buyer, but from what Meridian has said recently, I doubt that will happen.

New businesses for ERHE or not?

It is a question open to discussion. We do need to develop some oil and gas experience but offshore and onshore are two completely different animals requiring different skill sets from both an operational and exploratoy standpoint. Not sure I would be looking onshore and certainly not in Nigeria with all their problems. As you can imagine, talented oil and gas people are few and far between these days. The question is do we really want to become an operating oil and gas company with all the employees and overhead that would entail or can we continue to be a nonoperating company searching out deals where we could partner with an operator. We have as partners right now some excellent companies. I would have no problem at all joining forces with them, find some great prospects and drill them up. We can even pay our own way now. Let them operate. We do not need those headaches. Our strength right now is deal making. Let's stick to it.
