No new "PR" was needed as it only repeats what he's already said. To be PR it really should be original...not a rerun.
As far as making more money on production vs. a merger or sale, that might depend. If he's considering himself and a few close friends, it makes more sense to merge or sell to a bigger company with more capability and a position coming in the door. If he's got that much faith in his ability to produce, with the assets paid for, it isn't unreasonable to see PEII headed private again. After all, we're mired in debt paying for almost everything and nothing much is being produced at this point. In a short time we'll know what direction things head...IMO.
