Thanks for sharing your conversation with Mr. Bonser. While I'm sure tha many folks here appreciate receiving tidbits of information, I'm certain that Mr. Bonser and others at the company understand that it is inappropriate for them to favor one person, or group of people, with information that might affect the market ahead of that information being simultaneously made public to the investment community at large.
I don't mean to suggest that there was anything at all improper about your call to IR or in Bonser's response to you. It seemed perfectly within limits. I just wanted to point out that some folks here have an insatiable thirst for information and might try to enlist others to make entreaties to company personnel for pieces of news. Public companies have to be constantly on guard to avoid the appearance of playing favorites, IR has to walk the fine line between being helpful and being careful.
