These other company's are not robotic surgery companies. They're selling many other products and services, and oh by the way they're going to be selling robots too. There will be many, many competitors coming to market. But remember, this is the dawn of the robotic surgery age. It's like the start of the automobile industry. Many, many, many people wanted to start building cars, and several did. But 100 years later there are basically only a handful left standing. The life cycle of an industry is pretty much the same regardless of the product or service. To survive long term you have to be hyper focused and that's going to be hard to do when you have dozens of different products in several different markets. Titan is a robotic surgery firm. ISRG is a robotic surgery firm. They won't be selling anything that doesn't pertain to their robots and are hyper focused on R&D and making robotic surgery safer and more economical. That's the difference.
A company that sells lasers and builds a robot to operate their lasers will never be in competition with TITXF or ISRG. Anyone building robots for the peritoneum cavity (from under the rib cage to the pelvic floor) will be a direct competitor to Titan and Intuitive.
