I'm still pursuing some aggressive stocks -- the usual suspects for me... in fact a lot like your holdings except substitute the bond ladder for metals.

I have about 50% in stocks... for growth... about 40% cash for "opportunities"... and the rest in a bond ladder and will be growing that bond ladder to about 20%.

In my daughter's college fund, I am selling almost all equities over this year (started last year) and switching them into bond ladder out to 2 years because she'll be needing that money in 3 years and I never keep money I know I'll need in the next 3 years in stocks... too much like gambling.... I can't complain... her college funds are almost 85% gains (after tax) from stock over 14 years...
