Here is one analyst who thinks Intel should give up on its mobile strategy.

Meb Keflezighi wasn't winning the 2014 Boston marathon at the mid-point of the race. If he'd have just quit he would have unlocked more energy (EPS) for enjoying the rest of that day :) At the conclusion of the race I'm betting he had burned up a lot of energy (EPS) to win it. But now what lies before him having won?

Majority here thinks otherwise.

good for you...but what really matters is how long the institutional investors will put up with no dividend increase while Intel chases it's mobile dream...I'll give it a year before BK and team are really facing the heat.

VeeCee,

The majority here would be right.

Giving up on mobile chips just to "unlock 50 cents of EPS" is stupid, especially when the entire digital world is either going mobile or is benefitting from the side effects thereof.

That JPMorgan "analyst" sounds like yet another Wall Street "activist investor" like Carl Icahn or Bill Ackman. They have no interest in the long-term welfare of a company. All they want to do is cash out.
