I am planning on keeping an eye on it, but to me it seems like an early stage concept with a lot of work ahead of him. We all saw how much work, capital, and time it took to get PrintRite3D this close to commercialization. A lot of relationships with big players and a lot of funding and we are now just seeing the beginning of commercialization. Likely many many hours behind the scenes troubleshooting and in research and development. 3DSIM information right now is vague at best and is only a concept to me until it shows otherwise.
As far as patent infringement, I will leave that up to the professionals.
Ultimately, I'm sure there will be some sort of competition at some point. There always is, it is also health for business innovation and growth strategies. I just think right now, Sigma Labs is WAY ahead of the curve in this niche sector, but it is something to be watched, and I will not just discount his product....just waiting for more information.
