That was from August 2, 2009. Donald Trump also went bankrupt during his rise to power.

Henry Ford, who created Ford Motor Company in 1903, had to file for bankruptcy in 1901 when his Detroit Automobile Company failed. Walt Disney formed his first film studio in 1922 only to have it go bankrupt in 1923. Milton Hershey, famous for his chocolate bars, also had his first candy store go broke. H.J. Heinz’s first horseradish business went under before he started his successful ketchup business.

This is where Ed Starrs lived when he decided to file for Bankruptcy:
2716 Highland Hills Drive
El Dorado Hills, CA 95762

"Taking approximately 18 months, and nearly 900,000 dollars later, “magnificent” would be the most appropriate word to describe the Starrs residence. Breaking another record, the purchase post renovation by the Starrs goes down in the books as the single most expensive home ever sold in El Dorado Hills.
Don’t let the dollar signs fool you though, the simplistic, yet high quality comfort that this 10,500 square-foot home offers is something you can’t put a price tag on. And, comfort and livability was definitely a key component for the Starrs and their design style. With seven bedrooms, six full bathrooms (two half-bathrooms), three living areas, kitchen and formal dining area, office, “maid quarters,” workout room, poker room, full-bar, 23 car garage, 3 outdoor kitchen/entertainment structures, diving pool, 80-foot water garden with fountains, a nature preserve with 20 indigenous oak trees, and 30-plus visible miles of the Folsom Lake shore line – one might ask if the Starrs ever leave home? By the way, they do, but I would certainly have a hard time getting out of the driveway. And, what a driveway it is…in all of its stamped and colored concrete greatness!"

As we all know Eds source of income was being the CEO of MyECheck during 2008/09 that was operating profitably which allowed him to live in this Mansion & pay bills living the American dream owning his own business. When the main banking partner of MYEC was shut down by the FDIC without notice, Eds company lost a very valuable source of income & the CEO's lifestyle did a complete 180 forcing him to file for bankruptcy, selling what he could to stay afloat, downsizing from his mansion while trying everything possible to get MyECheck back on it's feet with restructuring & developing a completely new business strategy that revolves around his electronic check patent.
MYECHECK no longer relies on just one bank or branch of banks, ALL Banks now work with our patented payment processing platform, ANYONE with a Smartphone can start using our Payment Apps this month, ALL US Government entities can start using our Secure Funds Transfer System, ALL Medical Marijuana Dispensaries can start using MJ-Pay to eliminate their cash & banking problems, MyECheck Version 3.0 is a revolutionary turnaround for the Payment Industry. We have front row seats to witness Ed Starrs success story come to life again.
Soon he will be buying a bigger mansion than this one, IN CASH.
