I feel like you about RS, especially when companies 'sneak' it in. We can rant and curse these CEO's, but they do what they are allowed to do. Blame needs to fall on FINRA. They seriously need to make changes about RS. Such as putting a limit on how often a company can do it, at what ratio and even the price. Say, no company can reverse unless they have a minimum share price of a determined amount. It is legal criminality and has and will always exist until changes are made in the regulations.
