OUCH

I can't help in the area of option trading. And don't recommend using the book for anything but a table level under one lag.

Why would I say that? Learn to walk first. Basic simple and clean!

IMO option trading is speculation. And speculation is gambling. Some are lucky and can master techniques to improve their loss/win ratio. But most just need luck to win more then lose.

Other then using options to hedge a LARGE stock market position. I find option trading complex and needing a long time and lots of practice to master. I have dabbled for about a year with little success. Personally just not my cup of tea.

Before starting this reply I spent some time trying to think of an analogy. Came up with this. Driving a car. The basics is simple to understand and learn. Now think why not race cars. I have driven a car to work every day for income. And I could make much more income by winning in the auto racing industry. Yes the effort to race can be beneficial to those successful, but there is sooo much more involved in a winning auto racer then just pressing on the gas peddle, shifting at the correct time, or maneuvering thru traffic.

I'm not saying don't go for it. I'm saying be the best at getting to work first. That way if unsuccessful, you can always fall back on something you already do well at.
