Agreed that it would be good, and indeed it may be an indication that berkowitz' letter did something to 'jar them awake'.
Ultimately, it probably is just anther domino in the large series of pieces already placed - and may not matter until the end, the reckoning.
i.e. this isn't the first one that falls in my opinion.
