Don't know what everyone was expecting. If you were expecting statistical significance at 24 months and a jump to approval from there, it might not be so straight forward now.
I would like to know the P value at 24 months, if it was close to .05 that might not be too bad for a small trial with only 158 patients. Small trials can often show benefit without being statistically significant, but the benefit is shown none the less.
I feel that the trial, overall, was positive, as the PR states. I like Trimesta's chance for approval. I also like the pipeline moving forward, with the c-diff treatment.
It will be interesting to watch the price action tomorrow, since I think SYN is a good long term investment.
